Bozzi S.P.A

Our History

The history of “Bozzi” Precision Mechanics began in 1961, when the founder Ilvo Bozzi realized that the precision mechanics market would certainly undergo significant expansion in the years to come. He quickly understood that the business was taking off, thanks to orders from the then Motofides and the Fiat group. In a short time, the company grew and by the late 1960s employed 10 people. Ilvo’s strong entrepreneurial mindset and desire to grow led him in 1970 to move to a new warehouse where he could optimize production capacity and accommodate new machinery.

In 1976, the two still adolescent sons joined the company’s organizational chart. Right away, the boys made a significant contribution to the business and would be the main protagonists of its future success. Later, the enterprise transitioned from a sole proprietorship to a corporate entity and was renamed “Bozzi e figli s.r.l.” in honor of the founding father, who passed away in 2005. Subsequently, the owners revised the company policy and once again had an innovative insight for that historical period; they focused on absolute quality and precision.

From that moment, the company began a new era that not only saved it from crisis but also laid the groundwork for entering a new, still largely unexplored world. In the immediate future, the fruits of this new strategy began to be reaped, with the arrival of the first contracts in the defense and aerospace sectors. Since then, updates have never stopped, and have always been aimed at acquiring new, cutting-edge instruments and technologies.
Another decisive year for the company’s history was 1996, when it achieved ISO 9001 certification (the first mechanical company in the city of Livorno and among the first in Tuscany).
